Personal Information

Comm. Prestage was elected to the Fort Bend County Commissioners Court in November 1990. His taking office as Precinct 2 Commissioner marked the first time that an African American has served on the Fort Bend County Commissioners Court since reconstruction. Commissioner Prestage was re-elected in 1994, 1998, and 2002.

Commissioner Prestage represents Fort Bend County Precinct 2, which includes portions of Houston and Missouri City; the city of Stafford; Quail Valley; and Fifth Street, an unincorporated area of Fort Bend County.

Commissioner Prestage is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum. He serves on the Board of the Fort Bend Crime Victims Alliance, the Indigent Health Care Advisory Committee for the Texas Department of Health, the Chase Bank Post Oak Advisory Committee, and the City of Houston Planning Commission.
