Susan Combs (R), Comptroller of Public Accounts, 12-31-2014

Education: BA 1966-Vassar College; J.D.-University of Texas School of Law. Fourth generation Texas rancher; and former Assistant District Attorney in Dallas. She was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1992 and 1994 and served on the Natural Resources, Criminal Jurisprudence and Land & Resource Management Committees. Comptroller Combs is also honorary vice president of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and a board member for the Texas Wildlife Association.
Commissioner of Agriculture 1999-2006. Comptroller of Public Accounts 2007-present.
