Personal Information

Burke is an attorney in private practice, a mediator and arbitrator. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Bar Foundation. He is a volunteer facilitator for Bridges to Life, a restorative justice program with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and a board member for the Fulfillment Foundation, which operates a residential facility for men recovering from alcohol or chemical dependency. He was a clerk for Chief Judge John R. Brown of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Burke received a bachelor’s degree from Rice University, and a law degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law.
