Schneider is a trial attorney and assistant Harris County attorney. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, and the Texas District and County Attorneys Association. Schneider is a member of the Juvenile Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Interdisciplinary Child Abuse Task Force at Hermann Hospital in Houston and is an instructor of Child Advocates, Inc.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Schneider received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston.
