n 1974, with four years of experience in private practice completed, Judge Price was elected judge of Dallas County Criminal Court Number 5 and served three consecutive terms. He received a vote of confidence from his fellow jurists in the county courts when they elected him their presiding judge. Judge Price was elected to the 282nd Criminal District Court in 1986 and was re-elected in 1990 and 1994. He was again honored by his judicial peers in 1991 when they elected him presiding judge of the criminal district courts, a position he held throughout his tenure on the district bench.
