Dorrough served more than 15 years as an assistant district attorney in Gregg County, most recently as the first assistant of the Gregg County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. He formerly served as assistant district attorney of Smith County and as the chief probation officer in the 8th Judicial District Court. Additionally, he is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas County and District Attorneys Association.

Dorrough received a bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University and a law degree from the University of Tulsa
