John Jenkins of Hankamer is owner and operator of a rice farming business. He is a member of the Texas Rice Council, American Plant Food Corporation, Devers Canal Rice Producers Association, Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce, Anahuac National Bank Board of Directors and Texas Gatorfest Committee. He is also a past member of the Hometown Press, Trinity Bay Conservation District, Trinity Valley Exposition, Texas Rice Festival and Chambers County Farm Bureau boards. Jenkins received a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University. Reappointed 3-30-2009
