Personal Information

Mitchell is an attorney and a Partner at Bracewell and Giuliani LLP. He is a member of the Houston Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and National Association of Bond Lawyers. He serves on the Harris County Improvement District No. 8 and Midtown Redevelopment Authority boards of directors, and is a member of the Greater Houston Partnership's Government Relations Advisory Committee, Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation and 100 Black Men of America Metropolitan Houston Chapter Inc. He also volunteers with the American Heart Association as a member of their Policy Council. Mitchell received a bachelor’s and law degree from the University of Houston. Reappointed 2-26-09.
