Personal Information

Carolyn Harvey of Tyler is director of nursing for the Behavioral Hospital of Longview. She is a member of the American, Texas and District 25 Nurses associations, and the Texas Cancer Council. She is also development chair for the National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer, and a member of the Smith County American Cancer Society, Cancer Coalition and East Texas Tobacco Coalition. Harvey received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, and master’s and doctorate degrees in nursing and public administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
