Personal Information

McElhaney is a shareholder of Cox Smith Matthews Inc. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Fifth Circuit Bar Association, and San Antonio Bar Association, and a member and past president of the William Sessions Inn of Court, San Antonio Bar Foundation, and Bexar County Women’s Bar Association and Foundation. She is also a member and past president of the St. Mary’s University School of Law Alumni Association, and a past member of the Hidalgo Foundation, University of Incarnate Word Development Board, United Way of San Antonio Women’s Leadership Council, and San Antonio Women’s’ Chamber of Commerce. McElhaney received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and a law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
