James H. Scott retired from the U.S. Air Force in January 1996 with 35 years of military service. At the time of his retirement he was the Commander of the Defense Commissary Agency Midwest Region at Kelly AFB in Texas. He was responsible for 45 DOD Commissary Stores geographically located from Minot AFB, North Dakota to the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, TX.
