Personal Information

Walker N. Moody was appointed to the Oversight Committee of the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas by Governor Rick Perry on November 7, 2011. Mr. Moody is a cancer survivor and lifelong volunteer for cancer prevention and children's charities. He is currently a Partner at Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. (TPH), serving as the Chief Operating Officer of TPH Asset Management. TPH Asset Management is the alternative asset management affiliate of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co., an investment and merchant bank focused exclusively on energy with its headquarters in Houston, Texas, and offices in Denver, New York and London.

Mr. Moody previously served as Vice President at Goldman, Sachs, & Co., within their Investment Management Division. In addition, he was a Captain in the US Air Force with international affairs and strategic planning duties in the Middle East, the Pentagon, and was a Social Aide-de-Camp at the White House for President George W. Bush.

Mr. Moody has served on the Texas Children’s Hospital Cancer Center Carousel Board, with the office of Treasurer. He is also a past board member of the Houston Downtown YMCA, an organization he has been involved with as a volunteer for over 15 years.

Mr. Moody is actively involved with his alma mater, Texas Christian University, where he received his B.S. and B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa., and is a regular guest lecturer and speaker at the
Neeley School of Business. He received his M.B.A. from Auburn University.
