Personal Information

De la Garza is president and owner of Bahnman Realty. He serves as chairman of Sierra Title Company of Cameron and Willacy counties and is past president of the Harlingen Board of Realtors. He also served on the Texas State Technical College System Board of Regents for 12 years, four of those as chairman. He is past mayor and city commissioner of Harlingen, past chairman of the Valley International Airport Board and Harlingen Economic Development Board, past vice chairman of Harlingen Industrial Foundation Inc., and serves on the Civil Service Commission of Harlingen. He is past president of the Harlingen Lions Club, served on the Lions Clubs International Board of Directors, and belongs to First Presbyterian Church of Harlingen.
