Personal Information

Buchholtz is executive director of the Bexar Metro 9-1-1 Network District. He served as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force and was a commander of various Electronic Security Squadrons in the U.S., Thailand, Greece and Saudi Arabia. He is past commander of the European Electronic Security Division of the U.S. Air Force and commander of the Air Force Intelligence Command's 26th Intelligence Wing in Germany. Buchholtz received a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Michigan, and is a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College in Virginia and Air War College in Alabama. His term will expire at the pleasure of the governor.
