Col. Lionel F. "Fred" Solis

Personal Information

Solis is a veteran of the U.S. military with an active duty and Army Reserves career that spans four decades. During his military career, he was a member of the Special Operations Forces Command, Civil Affairs, Military Police, and Infantry with deployments to Afghanistan, Africa, Bosnia, Croatia, Europe, Haiti and South Korea. Solis also is a former officer in the San Antonio Police Department and was police chief for the city of Olmos Park as well.

Solis currently is employed as a criminal investigator in the Bexar County District Attorney's Office. He also is an adjunct professor at the University of the Incarnate Word. He holds a bachelor's degree from Wayland Baptist University and a master's degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
