Personal Information

Commissioner Wolverton was born in 1950 in the city of Frankfurt, Germany to military parents. In 1952 the family moved to Schertz, Texas, where the Commissioner later attended Samuel Clemens High School. Upon Graduation he completed two and half years at San Antonio Junior College. Married for over thirty years with two sons, the commissioner’s hobbies include golf and skeet shooting.

Commissioner Wolverton owned and operated an Electrical Contracting business for 9 years where he gained some of the experience that has helped him as a County Commissioner. Being a business owner taught him how to manage money and establish priorities, both necessary skills as an elected official. Commissioner Wolverton feels he has learned from other counties mistakes and has been here to help guide Guadalupe County into the 21st century. Commissioner Wolverton's personal perspective is "Always look to the future, sometimes, however; it is necessary to look to the past to predict the future - history does repeat itself".

Here a just a few of the accomplishments that Commissioner Wolverton is credited with:

* The passing of Legislation to access millions of dollars in Indigent Health Care Funds.
* Increased services out in the county, such as Fire, EMS, and Libraries.
* Heading the construction of the fourteen million dollar jail facility.
* Working closely with all three cities in his precinct (Schertz, Cibolo, Selma) to help promote quality growth.

Commissioner Wolverton also has several Community Affiliations that should be mentioned:

* Sits on the Board Of Directors for Schertz Bank & Trust
* Secretary for the Schertz, Seguin Local Government Corporation - working to ensure an adequate water supply for the residents of Guadalupe County.
