Personal Information

Judge Andrew Cable of Wimberley is the Hays County justice of the peace. He is president of the Hays Caldwell Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, a board member of the Texas Community Justice Task Force, and a member of the Texas Justice Court Judges Association, Hays County Peace Officer Association, Justice of the Peace Constable Association, and Hays County Criminal Justice Association. He is also a member of the Texas Association of Criminal Justice Educators, Texas Association of Mediators, Hays County Bar Association, Bexar County Family Justice Center, Capital Area Council Criminal Justice Advisory Committee and Texas Corrections Association. He is warden of the local Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Wimberley Chamber of Commerce, Wimberley Education Foundation and Wimberley Valley Community Emergency Response Team Advisory Board, and a member and past board member of the Wimberley Lions Club. Cable received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in criminology from Texas State University.
