Personal Information

Chuck Statler is the Commissioner for Taylor County Precinct 4 and is currently serving his third consecutive term; having first been elected in 1998.

He was born in Abilene, Texas and was raised in Breckenridge. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Applied Studies

He is a veteran of the United States Army having served in Europe in the Military Police Corps.

Prior to his public service, he was an Advertising Executive for KTAB-TV for 15 years.

Since becoming Commissioner, he represents Taylor County on a number of boards and committees. He is currently the President of the 118 county member West Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association, a member of the Mental Health Jail Diversion Task Force, Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Counties, the Executive Committee of the West Central Texas Council of Governments as well as the West Texas Regional Public Defenderís Office for Capital Cases.

He has served on the state Education Committee for County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas and has also served two terms as National President for the Association of Chamber Ambassadors.
