Personal Information

Chris Kirk of Bryan is sheriff of Brazos County. He is a member of the National Sheriffs’ Association and is a graduate of the National Sheriffs’ Institute. Kirk is the 3rd vice president of the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas and also serves as the chairman of the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas Legislative Committee. He serves on the board of the County Information Resource Agency, the Rape Crisis Center of Brazos County and as board president of Scotty’s House Children’s Advocacy Center. Kirk is the district chairman of the Arrowmoon District of the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University.
