Personal Information

Johnson is president and CEO of Valley Baptist Service Corporation and Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation, and former city president of Harlingen BBVA Compass Bank. He is chairman of the Port of Harlingen Authority and Valley Baptist Health System, a board member of the Sunny Glen Children's Home, and a member of the Appraisal Institute. He is also past president of the Harlingen Rotary Club and past chairman of the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce. He served in the U.S. Army.

Johnson received a bachelor's degree from Texas A&I University, now Texas A&M University at Kingsville.
