C. Dan Smith of Plano is president and owner of Smith Exploration, an oil, gas and real estate investment company. He is being reappointed to the board. Smith is a member of the North Texas Exes Association and the North Texas Independent Bankers Association of Texas. He serves on the boards of the Legacy Bank of Texas, Plano Bancshares Holding Company and Dreamer Ministries. Smith is a former member of the Plano Futures Foundation, past president of the Plano Independent School District and past chairman of the Plano YMCA. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas.
