Personal Information

Benavides is the Associate Vice President for Human Resources at Texas Woman’s University. He is the president of the North Texas Society for Human Resource Management and a member of the Dallas Human Resources Management Association. He formerly served as commissioner of the Dallas Civil Service Commission. Benavides is a member of the Texas Higher Education Human Resources Association, the College and University Personnel Association, and the Society for Human Resources Management. He is also a member of the World War II Veterans Committee and the National Museum on the Pacific War. Benavides received an associate of arts degree from San Antonio College and a bachelor of business administration in management degree from Southwest Texas State University.
