Personal Information

Justice Dauphinot attended Fort Worth public schools and Texas Christian University where she took her B.A. and is A.B.D. Justice Dauphinot studied in Mexico as a Fulbright Fellow and took her M.A. at Stanford University as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow. She earned her J.D. at Southern Methodist University in 1978 as the first female Hatton Sumners Scholar.

Justice Dauphinot enjoyed an active trial and appellate practice in Tarrant and surrounding counties before she was elected Judge of Tarrant County Criminal District Court No. 2, in 1989. She was elected to the Second Court of Appeals in 1995.

Justice Dauphinot is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a member of the State Bar College, and former member of the Texas Judicial Council.
