Billye Proctor Shaw of Abilene is chairman of the Big Tex Crude Oil Company. She is a member of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers, board member of the Cancer Service Network and trustee of the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing. Shaw serves on the board of the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, the Texas Historical Foundation, Frontier Texas and the Abilene Arts Alliance. She also is a board member of the Community Foundation of Abilene, and the Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism. Shaw received a bachelor’s degree from Rice University. Her term will expire Aug. 31, 2011.
