A native of Alabama, Councilwoman Phyllis Sanborn moved to League City in 1982. She and her husband David share their lives with their four children, Steve Wilson, Emily Wilson and Jennifer Sanborn and Justin Sanborn.

Councilwoman Sanborn was elected to serve a three-year term on City Council May 13, 2006. As a resident of League City for 24 years, she has been an active volunteer and leader in the community. Mrs. Sanborn has served in a wide variety of community boards and youth organizations. She is beginning her 19th year with the Clear Creek Independent School where she is the principal’s administrative assistant at Bauerschlag Elementary.
