Personal Information

Maj. Gen. Alvin W. Jones of College Station is a retired Brazos County Judge. He is an ambassador for Texas representing the Chief of Army Reserves. Jones served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves, and was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit and the Meritorious Service Medal. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas and a master's degree in education administration from Texas A&M University.
