Personal Information

Steven Alexander was appointed City Manager of Greenville in August 2007.

Born in Anniston, Alabama, Alexander holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Texas and has a MBA from Tarleton State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Alexander is a member of the Texas City Manager’s Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Government Finance Office Association and the Greenville Rotary Club. Alexander is also a member of the 2008 Leadership Greenville Class and a graduate of the Greenville Police Department Citizens Police Academy.

Prior to coming to Greenville, Alexander was the City Manager of Copperas Cove, Texas. He joined the City of Copperas Cove in 1997 serving as Finance Director and Assistant City Manager before being appointed City Manager in 2002. He previously served as Assistant Finance Director for the City of Killeen.

Alexander and his wife Tricia, have three children.
