Carlos Barrera of Brownsville is a partner of Long Chilton L.L.P. He is past president of the Brownsville Economic Development Corporation and Valley Zoological Society. Barrera is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Additionally, he is a member of the Governmental Finance Officers Association. Barrera received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
