Personal Information

Shaw was appointed to the commission in 2007. He is chair of the Texas Advisory Panel on Federal Environmental Regulations, a member of the Texas Environmental Flows Advisory Group, and a member of the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Air Quality Task Force. Shaw is also a member of several committees for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Science Advisory Board including the Environmental Engineering Committee. He received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in agricultural engineering from Texas A&M University and a doctorate degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
