Personal Information

Gauntt is founding partner of Avalon Advisors L.P. He serves on the advisory board of the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and is past director of Hope Worldwide. Additionally, he is chairman of the Foundation for the Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston, and a board member of the Greater Houston Church, River Oaks Baptist School and West University Little League. Gauntt received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
