Rick Bruhn of Huntsville is a professor of counselor education at Sam Houston State University. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist, board-approved supervisor and licensed professional counselor-supervisor. He is a member of the American and Texas Counseling associations, Texas Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, and American and Texas associations for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society, and past president of the Texas Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. Bruhn received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in school psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and a doctorate in counseling and guidance from Texas A&M University at Commerce.
