Personal Information

Ryan Thomason was elected to a three year term on the San Marcos City Council after winning a run-off election on December 15, 2009. Former Justice of the Peace Becky Sierra administered the oath of office on December 23, 2009.

Born in Houston, Mr. Thomason has lived in San Marcos for 26 years.

He served three years on the Planning and Zoning Commission from 2007-2009, serving as Vice Chair of the commission.

A self-employed contractor and real estate broker, Mr. Thomason is a member of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of the San Marcos Builders Association, and the San Marcos Area Board of Realtors.

He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in business finance.

He is the son of Marsha and Dwayne Thomason of San Marcos.
