Personal Information

Gary Tuma of Sugar Land is president and CEO of Smart Financial Credit Union. He is a board member and past chair of Town North National Bank, past president and past board member of the Houston, Corpus Christi and Austin chapters of Credit Unions. He is a member of the Texas Chapter Presidents Association and Austin Retail Merchants Association, and a past board member of Texas Credit Union League, Money Management International, and Texas Institute of Certified Credit Union Executives. He is also a past board member and past executive committee member of the Credit Union Service Corporation, and a past board member and past chair of Consumer Credit Counseling Services of the Gulf Coast and Southwest Educators Credit Union Association. Tuma attended Texas State University and is a certified credit union executive.
