Personal Information

Rebeca Huddle was appointed to the First Court of Appeals by Governor Perry in 2011 and elected in 2012. She previously was a partner in the trial department of Baker Botts L.L.P., where she specialized in complex civil litigation. Her practice included trials and appeals of various types of litigation, including shareholder actions, commercial disputes, and personal injury matters.

Justice Huddle was born in El Paso, where she attended Stephen F. Austin High School. She received her undergraduate degree in political science from Stanford University and graduated from The University of Texas School of Law with honors.
