Personal Information

Douglas Gregory was born and raised in San Antonio. After completing his undergraduate work at Duke University he returned to Texas where he has been an investment advisor for over 30 years. Currently, Douglas is Senior Vice President with Wachovia Securities.
Approximately 20 years ago Douglas moved to Castle Hills. Before being elected Alderman, he served as a member of the Zoning Commission and became a member of the Castle Hills Homeowners Association. Upon election to the City Council in 2003, he has and continues to serve as the Castle Hills City Treasurer.
Early in his tenure, Douglas, as a strong fiscal conservative, helped establish various new programs such as the Crime Control and Prevention District. He also has become Chairman of the Street and Drainage Committee. Douglas has backed funding for the current repair of streets by means other than by increasing taxpayer property tax. Together these two initiatives have saved Castle Hills residents hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars.
Recently, with Mayor Harper, Douglas helped establish the North Corridor Association of Cities, a group of mayors and city officials whose goal is to network with our other sister cities exchanging ideas on how best to maximize current resources and how to improve our cities future.
Whenever Douglas has spare time, he loves to golf, read, play bridge, travel and enjoy the company of his friends in Castle Hills. Available to one and all, he encourages citizens to get involved with our wonderful city in order to ensure we remain a “City of Beautiful Homes.”
