Personal Information

Ronald L. Olson was selected as City Manager by the City Council on March 22, 2011. Having served in four cities and one county, he has over 30 years of local government experience. Prior to joining the City of Corpus Christi, he was County Administrator of Polk County (Des Moines), Iowa; Deputy City Manager for the City of Arlington, Texas; and City Manager for the cities of Middletown, Ohio; Belding, Michigan and West Jordan, Utah.

He received Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Administration degrees from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and is an ICMA Credentialed Manager.
