Personal Information

Barnwell is president of Universal Natural Gas Inc., and president and board chair of Texas Gas Utility Services. He is a member of the Texas Gas Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Air Safety Foundation. He is also president and past board chair of the Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce, board chair and past president of R.S. Barnwell Memorial Garden and Art Center, and co-founder and past president of the Samaritan Counseling Center.

Barnwell received a law degree from Louisiana State University.
