Personal Information

Pete Geren is the President of the Sid W. Richardson Foundation, which provides grants to educational, health, human service and cultural nonprofit organizations in Texas. From 2001 to 2009, he served in the U.S. Department of Defense as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, Acting Secretary of the Air Force, Under Secretary of the Army and Secretary of the Army. He also served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives and was formerly assistant to U.S. Sen. Lloyd Bentsen.
