Personal Information

Juan Sorto of Houston is a probation officer for the Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department. He is a member of the Texas Probation Association, Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Pi Alpha Alpha Public Administration Honor Society, and the Golden Key Honor Society. He is also a volunteer for the Star of Hope Women and Family Emergency Shelter and former student regent of Texas Southern University. Sorto received a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Master of Public Administration from Texas Southern University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Philosophy in urban planning from Texas Southern University.
