Courtney Townsend, M.D. of Galveston is a surgeon and is the Robertson-Poth Distinguished Chair in General Surgery professor at The University of Texas Medical Branch – School of Medicine. He is a member of the Galveston County Medical Society, American Surgical Association, American College of Surgeons, and Texas Surgical Society. Townsend received a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from The University of Texas at Austin and a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch.
