Personal Information

Jim Cox is a graduate of the Certified Public Manager (CPM) program from Stephen F Austin University and attended University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Business Administration. After 15-years in the banking industry, Cox owned and managed a Printing Business, then was appointed Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer for a successful event business in Frisco, TX. Cox served as City Administrator in Lindale Texas and in Groesbeck, Texas. His interest in City Government began in Bay City, Texas, where he served two terms on City Council and on Home Rule Charter Commission. Cox also worked with the Chamber of Commerce in Economic Development for the community.
