Chairman Kevin J. Lilly is the founding partner of Avalon Advisors, LLC, the largest privately-owned wealth management firm in Texas. Lilly is a Colonel in the Texas State Guard and serves as Deputy Commander of the 2nd Brigade headquartered in Houston. His prior military leadership included command of the 8th Civil Affairs Regiment during Hurricane Harvey.

Lilly is also a former gubernatorial appointee to the Texas State University System Board of Regents and former trustee of the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Symphony. He currently serves as a trustee of Strake Jesuit College Prep.

Lilly received a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. Additionally, Lilly received an Army commission through the ROTC program at UT and served as a tank commander in the United States Army, having left federal service at the rank of Captain.
