Personal Information

D�fWayne Jernigan of Huntsville has over fifty years of law enforcement experience and has served as a Sheriff, Deputy Sheriff, Police Officer, Federal Sky Marshal, as a Special Agent-in-Charge for the United States Customs Service, Office of Investigations & as the Customs Attaché posted to the U. S. Embassy in Rome, Italy. He has held leadership positions and is a member of both the National Sheriffs�f Association and the Sheriffs�f Association of Texas. He is a charter member of the Southwest Border Sheriffs�f Association and the Texas Border Sheriffs�f Coalition and a member of the Association of Former Customs Special Agents, Texas Association of Licensed Investigators & the Texas Process Servers Association. His volunteer work includes past president and member of the Border Amateur Radio Society and with the Rancho Dos Countries Soup Kitchen providing for the needy. He has also served seven years as a Board Member of Heritage Academy Charter Schools, three as President of the Board of Trustees. Jernigan earned an Associate�fs degree in Police Administration, Criminal Justice and Investigations from Cooke County Junior College.
