Tom Fordyce, was appointed to the TBCJ in May 2024. Mr. Fordyce is the chief of special projects for the Mighty Oaks Foundation. He is vice president of the Walker County Fair Association and member of the Forrest Masonic Lodge No.19 in Huntsville, Lubbock Scottish Rite, Khivai Shrine in Amarillo, and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Additionally, he is a former member of the Huntsville Veterans Advisory Council, former gubernatorial appointee on the Trinity River Authority and Texas Assistive and Rehabilitative Services Council, and former commissioner for the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. Fordyce received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Sam Houston State University.
