Personal Information

Councilmember Emmert is currently serving the citizens of Cedar Hill in Place 3. He is a past president of the Cedar Hill Economic Development Corporation and served Cedar Hill as Chairman of the Vote the Vision bond election campaign in 2003. That same year, Wade was named "Civic Leader of the Year" by the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to his role as a City Council Member, Wade represents Cedar Hill as a member of the Board of Directors of the Best Southwest Partnership. He is active in local, regional and national organizations such as the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Municipal League and the National League of Cities. He is also a member of Mensa and other professional organizations.

Wade is a partner at Burford & Ryburn, L.L.P., one of the oldest law firms in Dallas. He has been recognized by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines as being one of the top attorneys in the State of Texas.

Wade is married to Michelle Ashley Emmert. They have two young boys, Walker and Will. Wade is intimately involved in his church and enjoys time with his family
