Personal Information

Ms. Sydney B. Hewlett of Cleburne is the sole member and partner of Hewlett Law, PLLC. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Johnson County Bar Association and a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. She is the chairman of the Cleburne Business & Standards Commission, a founder and former chair of the Polly Guthrie Memorial Scholarship and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Terry R. Means (retired), Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth, Division. Hewlett received a Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor Law School, with a concentration in civil litigation and criminal practice.

Hewlett is the first woman to be appointed to the 18th Judicial District Court.
